Terms of Service

1. What Schlept is

Schlept is a packing-list service for households: you create profiles and item libraries, and Schlept computes packing lists for your trips. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Schlept.

2. Your account and household

You need an account (email magic link or Google sign-in) to use Schlept. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. A household is shared space: every member can see and edit the household’s profiles, items, and trips, and the household owner can invite and remove members. Only invite people you trust with that access.

3. Your content

Everything you put into Schlept — profiles, items, notes, trips — remains yours. You give us only the limited license needed to store it, process it, and show it to you, your household, and the people you explicitly share it with (trip guests and read-only share links).

If you publish a community template, you make its contents (item names, categories, quantities, and tags — never your packing notes) available for any Schlept user to view and import, and you license it to us and to them for that purpose. Don’t publish anything you don’t have the right to share.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t abuse the service: no attempting to access other households’ data, no probing or circumventing security measures (including rate limits), no using Schlept to store or distribute unlawful content, and no publishing community templates that are spam, deceptive, or offensive. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Leaving, and deleting your data

You can export your household’s data as a single file at any time from Settings. A household owner can permanently delete the household — this erases all of its profiles, items, trips, and history for every member, immediately and irreversibly.

6. Service changes and availability

Schlept is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service, and features may change or be discontinued. A packing list is a helper, not a guarantee — please double-check the passports.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schlept and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service (including forgotten items, missed flights, or lost data beyond our reasonable control). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way we’ll post the update here and adjust the date above; continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions? Contact hello@schlept.app.
